Packaging Mechanism
The material provides individualized packaging of feed. To use netting, the equipment must have a suitable binding mechanism, and most round balers have one. Some baler can work with both net and twine.
Density and Number of Wraps
Shredded straw or hay can make the bale as dense as possible. The holding force should be higher if the netting has insufficient tensile strength. In this case, you will have to increase the number of layers of wrapping. For reliable packing of hay, 2-2.5 turns of the Polypak net are enough. In the case of straw baling, add another 1-2 turns.
Standard Bale Sizes
The most common bale widths produced by balers are 120 cm. A 123 cm wide net is perfect for such bales because it acquires the required width in the bale chamber and completely covers the bale. The diameter can vary from 80 to 300 cm, depending on the type and settings of the equipment. The most commonly used diameter is 120-130 cm.
Roll Diameter Impact
The diameter of the roll determines not only the material consumption. The bigger the roll, the stronger the net must be. If the strength is insufficient, you will have to increase the number of layers of material.
The Polypak bale net wrap can handle rolls with a diameter of 300 cm.
Mesh Selection Criteria
When choosing a mesh, you should also consider the dimensions of the bale, the level of compaction, and the type of feed that will be packaged.

When choosing a mesh, it is better to focus on a certain standard, for example, it can be a mesh supplied by the equipment manufacturer.
